GHAC Employees Participate in 30th Annual Heat’s On Event

On October 7, General Heating employees volunteered for the 30th annual Heat’s On event, a community endeavor that provides complimentary furnace clean and check services to veterans in Dane County.

HeatsOngroupVolunteers from Dane County businesses, Steam Fitters Local 601, local Union Contractors and the Madison Area Mechanical & Sheet Metal Contractors Association (MSC) came together to generously donate their time and supplies to perform a complimentary furnace clean and check to nearly 95 veterans homes in and around Dane County.

The Heat’s on mission is to reduce the occurrence of veteran’s going without heat or facing other life threatening emergencies associated with their home heating systems this winter. The Veterans Administration identified and provided the project with homes in need of service. MSC and Steamfitters Local 601 successfully executed their mission that morning with the help of our contractors for providing manpower and 35 service trucks. Supplies to fill the trucks were charitably donated by Temperature Systems Inc., First Supply, Industrial Controls, Design Air, and Gustave Larson.
