Spring Cleaning Checklist

Spring is here, and that means that spring cleaning is a must. While you likely enjoy the outcome after the cleaning is done, the process of cleaning can be stressful if you do not have a plan.

Inside the House

  • Wipe Walls and Ceilings
  • Vacuum and Shampoo Carpets
  • Dust the interior of your home – ceiling corners, baseboards, lamps, shelves, etc
  • Change smoke detector batteries
  • Clean window treatments
  • Wax non-wood floors
  • Wash doors
  • Touch up paint (on walls, doors, etc)
  • Wax wooden furniture
  • Change air/furnace filter
  • Clean air vents
  • Toss expired food and products
  • Deep clean the oven
  • Replace lightbulbs as needed

Outside the House

  • Sweep and power wash the deck
  • Clean outdoor furniture
  • Plant flowers and garden
  • Clean the garage
  • Wash vehicles
  • Wash outsides of windows
  • Remove cobwebs
  • Power wash siding and garage door
  • Touch up paint
  • Check for any damage from over the winter, such as on roof shingles
  • Clean the grill
  • Clean out gutters
  • Pick up any litter or debris on the lawn
  • Wash window screens
