Country Cooking with GHAC

Apple Crisp
Ingredients:
- 5 lb bag of baking apples (McIntosh apples work well)
- 6 Tbsp of white sugar
- Cinnamon – shake on top of apples
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 sticks butter – softened to room temperature
- 2 cups flour
Directions:
1. Grease rectangle baking dish
2. Peel apples and cut into thin slices
3. Add sugar and cinnamon to apples and mix well
4. In a separate bowl, mix butter, flour, and brown sugar (mix with hands, but leave crumbly)
5. Pour mixture over apples, leave crumbly; do not push down
6. Bake at 350 degrees F for an hour or until apples are soft
