Spring Cleaning Checklist
Spring is here, and that means that spring cleaning is a must. While you likely enjoy the outcome after the cleaning is done, the process of cleaning can be stressful if you do not have a plan.
This spring cleaning checklist provides easy steps to make sure you get all of your spring cleaning done.
Inside the House
- Wipe Walls and Ceilings
- Vacuum and Shampoo Carpets
- Dust the interior of your home – ceiling corners, baseboards, lamps, shelves, etc
- Change smoke detector batteries
- Clean window treatments
- Wax non-wood floors
- Wash doors
- Touch up paint (on walls, doors, etc)
- Wax wooden furniture
- Change air/furnace filter
- Clean air vents
- Toss expired food and products
- Deep clean the oven
- Replace lightbulbs as needed
Outside the House
- Sweep and power wash the deck
- Clean outdoor furniture
- Plant flowers and garden
- Clean the garage
- Wash vehicles
- Wash outsides of windows
- Remove cobwebs
- Power wash siding and garage door
- Touch up paint
- Check for any damage from over the winter, such as on roof shingles
- Clean the grill
- Clean out gutters
- Pick up any litter or debris on the lawn
- Wash window screens
